Monday: Be A Professional Cuer

Okay, I’ll be honest, I’m not even sure if “Cuer” is a word. One who cues? Cue-daddy perhaps? But today at work, we were recording Special Guest Star Tim Meadows, who will be providing the voice of Barak Obama on our upcoming political satire show. He wanted somebody to read lines with him, so he could work off of somebody, and my name was volunteered. I got to sit in the booth (although off-mic) wear big, cool, fancy headphones and read all the parts that weren’t his.

One thing became abundantly clear: I am not a professional voice over guy. My Condi sounded like my Bush sounded like my Kerry. Which all sounded like Opus. Tim Meadows, though, was phenomenal - even more so compared to me.

Tomorrow - another Taco Tuesday.
